As Founders of their own successful businesses, Emma Peach and Zoe Southwell were independently hearing the same concerns from across the property management sector.
Through Peach Property Consultancy, Emma was supporting property professionals and business owners who needed experienced portfolio management support during periods of annual leave, sickness absence and business growth. Sole traders were asking a simple question:
“How do I step away from my business without worrying about what I’ll come back to?”
Many were unable to take meaningful breaks because there was nobody available to provide trusted, professional support while they were away. Others were taking on new developments or experiencing portfolio growth but did not require a full-time employee to bridge the gap.
Through Connectus Recruitment, Zoe was hearing similar concerns from clients facing recruitment challenges.
Businesses were waiting for new employees to complete lengthy notice periods and asking:
“Who looks after the portfolio in the meantime?”
Newly appointed Property Managers were often inheriting large backlogs of work and complex portfolios. Before they had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, build relationships with clients and residents, or fully understand the portfolio, many felt overwhelmed by the volume of work awaiting them.
Recognising that these challenges were becoming increasingly common across the sector, Emma and Zoe set out to find an experienced, professional business they could confidently recommend to their clients

Rather than continuing to search for an answer, they decided to create one.
